Billboard on I-85 says, "Fine. . . We admit it…It's not even remotely yellow!" I guess the Mellow Yellow soft drink group sees a marketing opportunity in connecting on how much people and consumers appreciate integrity. It seems that the color of the liquid is closer to an amber, champagne adumbration than the Crayola classic YELLOW. Ok, but doesn't the word "mellow" kind of cover that disparity? Wouldn't a "mellow yellow" nomenclature say, "this color is a shade of yellow and NOT pure YELLOW?" Ok, huh,…?? Maybe the ad folks at Mellow Yellow are not as squeeky clean as they are coming across. Maybe, their confession is somewhat mellow.
