My daughter is taking Kinesiology (study of motion) this semester. We could all benefit from learning more about movement. Momentum is a legit experience. It is called a "run" in basketball. In combat it is called "battle rhythm." Stella "got her groove on" in the movie of same name. What starts momentum and what kills it? For me, it is when my attitude droops far enough to get me sidetracked into some stupid pleasure that I think I'm entitled to. I know better, but I still sabotage my momentum. What jump starts my momentum and sustains it is when I keep my shoulder into the wheel and push, push, push. Sooner or later, when I know I'm doing what I'm supposed to be doing the momentum starts to kick in. Sometimes it doesn't, but its cool when it does.
