Where “Facebook” Serves the Heart’s Longing

In the Christian Classic, "Orthodoxy," G.K. Chesterton argues for the age-old sterling value of human dignity inherent in every man, woman and child. He presents the case for how the human species are miracles even if they don't win the Nobel Prize for chemistry. OK, thanks Gilbert! But along comes Facebook and lo and behold, my sister gets a "Like" on her monogram business web page from a Sierra Leone chap now living in the Philippines. Really…Facebook, in it's own modern high tech social media way has done what Chesterton was pitching for and that is; every person is special and should have a "voice." Well, now in the remote outback of the Philippines, this gentleman has been given an opportunity to be heard all the way in Greensboro, NC!
