In Dr. Ramani Durvasula's book You Are Why You Eat , she cleverly changes the syntax from food being the subject to food becoming the direct object. In other words, food doesn't makes us WHAT we are (i.e you are what you eat) rather WE ARE ALREADY WHO WE ARE and it is rather WHY we are who we are that compells us to treat food the way we do. Kind of like getting the proverbial horse out of the cart bench and back on the ground. So Why are We who we are? Isn't that the climb we are all on?
