My friends just returned from teaching English as a Second Language to Chinese college students in Northeast China (about 5 hours from N. Korea.) Their daughter adopted the Chinese teenage fashionista statement of wearing lense-less glasses. Her dad, an optometrist when not doing ESL, understands the ambience that "eye fashion" can generate. Sleek, robust, and flooded with attitude, she could have worn a potato sack and still gotten into the 21 Club. All in all, it's about our "outlook," but regardless of what type or shade of bi-focals we don, it's the healthy clarity of vision that peers thru the lenses that matter. Matthew 6:22 says, "The eye is the lamp of the body. If the eyes are good, the whole body will be filled with light, but if your eyes are bad, your whole body will be filled with darkness…"
