A popular idea and value today is tolerance. Its declaration is heard in education, government, religion, employment, nationalities and culture. It's a slippery concept because it is so broad; kind of like Peter Pan trying to get Wendy Darling to sew his shadow back to his foot. Yet, "tolerance" continues to gain inertia; its statesmen leading the charge for a more-level playing field. OK, you go fella! But if one of these noble crusaders of universal equality discovers that a seam in their new $5000 granite counter tops is 1/32" too wide, call the calvary! Hmmm? How about a little tolerance, brother?! Well, maybe there are some things we could be less tolerant about? I wonder?
